Fingerprint Traces and CCTV Uncover BRILink Agent Thief in Indramayu, Suspect Arrested Without Resistance

TS alias B (35), a resident of Rancajawat Village, Tukdana District, Indramayu Regency, offered no resistance when police arrested him at his home after his theft was uncovered. The suspect stole gold and other items from a BRILink agent at the Alvin shop in Cangko Village, Tukdana District, Indramayu Regency. Unbeknownst to him, his actions were recorded by CCTV, and fingerprints left at the scene enabled police to quickly identify him. “The perpetrator took a child’s gold bracelet, cash, and dozens of packs of various cigarette brands,” said Indramayu Police Chief AKBP Fajar Gemilang through Tukdana Police Chief AKP Junata Tisna Senjaya on Monday. The investigation into the aggravated theft began with a report from the agent’s owner. Following the report, the Tukdana Police Criminal Investigation Unit immediately processed the crime scene, collected evidence, and applied scientific crime investigation methods. Officers identified fingerprints left on the glass of the BRILink room’s ventilation window and analysed CCTV footage that recorded the perpetrator’s movements. The fingerprint identification and in-depth analysis of the CCTV footage allowed police to identify and arrest the suspect. “The Tukdana Police pursuit team successfully apprehended the suspect without resistance at his residence in Rancajawat Village,” he stated.
