REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – Easy access to financing is considered one of the key factors in accelerating the adoption of electric vehicles in Indonesia. As the choice of electric and hybrid vehicles on the market grows, competitive credit schemes are expected to encourage more people to switch to low-emission transport.

Acting President Director of PT Mandiri Utama Finance (MUF) Dapot Parasian Sukoco Sinaga said that the rising public interest in electric vehicles must be supported by financing services that meet consumer needs.

“As interest in electric and hybrid vehicles increases, MUF continues to be committed to providing easy, competitive financing solutions that suit the needs of the community,” Dapot said in a statement on Thursday (16/7/2026).

According to Dapot, financing is one of the instruments to broaden public access to environmentally friendly vehicles. For this reason, MUF is strengthening its collaboration with Bank Mandiri to provide various financing options for electric and hybrid vehicles.

He said the increasing number of electric vehicle brands entering Indonesia is also expanding consumer choice. This situation encourages financing companies to adjust their products and services to the evolving market needs.

As part of this effort, MUF is presenting electric vehicle financing services at the Mandiri Auto Deals 2026 event. The public can obtain financing information for various electric and hybrid vehicle brands, such as BYD, Jaecoo, Xpeng, and Hyundai, as well as try out the vehicles through test drive facilities.

In addition to financing consultations, MUF offers various credit schemes tailored to consumer needs. The company hopes that easy access to financing can accelerate the development of the national electric vehicle ecosystem while supporting the transition towards more environmentally friendly transport.

Dapot added that collaboration between the financing industry, banking, and automotive players will be one of the important factors in expanding the use of electric vehicles in Indonesia.
