Financial Literacy Crucial Amid Rising Interest in Digital Investment
The development of digital technology has transformed how the public accesses financial and investment services. Various investment instruments are now more easily accessible through digital platforms, opening wider opportunities for the public to develop assets and manage finances. However, alongside increased access, financial literacy remains a vital factor in ensuring the public can understand risks, recognise legal investment products, and make decisions aligned with their needs and risk profiles.
In this context, the commodity futures trading industry is considered to have an increasingly strategic role, not only as an investment vehicle but also as part of the effort to improve public understanding of responsible financial management and investment. This momentum was reflected in the 27th anniversary of PT Didimax Berjangka, which received appreciation from the Commodity Futures Trading Regulatory Agency (Bappebti) for its contribution to supporting a healthy and sustainable futures trading industry in Indonesia.
The Head of Bappebti, Tirta Karma Senjaya, expressed his appreciation for the company’s long journey, noting its consistent contribution to industry growth for nearly three decades. He stated that the development of the futures trading industry shows that the sector is no longer viewed merely as an investment instrument, but as part of strengthening the economic ecosystem and increasing public financial literacy.
The President Commissioner of Didimax, Yadi Supriyadi, stated that throughout its 27 years of operation, the company has continued to strengthen service quality and expand public education regarding legal futures trading under regulatory supervision. He noted that the company’s sustainability is inseparable from customer trust, regulatory support, and a commitment to professionalism amidst a changing financial landscape.
According to Supriyadi, education is a primary foundation for building a healthy futures trading industry. Consequently, the company routinely organises training programmes, seminars, webinars, and financial literacy activities to enhance public understanding of safe and regulated investments. These efforts are increasingly relevant amidst rising interest in digital investments and the need for consumer protection against prevalent illegal investment practices. Entering its 27th year, the company also reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening corporate governance, increasing technological utilisation, and supporting a modern, trusted futures trading ecosystem.
