Finance Ministry Issues Regulation on Six-Month Duty-Free LPG Imports
Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa has signed a regulation providing the legal basis for duty-free imports of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). The provision, outlined in Minister of Finance Regulation (PMK) Number 50 of 2026, grants a 0% import duty rate for a period of six months starting from the regulation’s effective date on 28 July 2026. The regulation was enacted on 21 July 2026 and takes effect seven days later. The duty exemption applies to LPG imports classified under tariff codes 9845.10.00, covering liquefied propane (ex 2711.12.00), and 9845.20.00, covering liquefied butane (ex 2711.13.00).
