Jakarta — The Finance Ministry has disbursed Rp24.7 trillion in holiday bonuses (Tunjangan Hari Raya, THR) to civil servants, military personnel, police and pensioners as of 10 March 2026, according to Deputy Finance Minister Suahasil. This represents 45 per cent absorption of the total allocated Rp55 trillion.

“The target is to reach 6 million recipients from the civil service, military, police, and both central and local government employees. We are encouraging ministries, agencies and local governments to complete THR payments to all civil servants, military and police throughout Indonesia before the holiday,” Suahasil said during the March 2026 State Budget Press Conference on Wednesday, 11 March 2026.

Suahasil urged all ministries, agencies and local governments to expedite the distribution of holiday bonuses to all civil servants, military and police personnel across the country.

“Hopefully it will be completed quickly and should be finished before the holiday,” he said.

Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa confirmed that the Finance Ministry has allocated Rp55 trillion and can disburse funds as soon as relevant institutions submit their payment requests. He expressed confidence that there would be no obstacles to distribution.

According to Purbaya, if any individual has not yet received their payment, it is likely because their institution has not yet submitted a request.

“It has been released. Perhaps some institutions have not yet submitted their request? But if they have submitted everything, there should be no obstacles. Unless the civil service employee hasn’t asked us. They have to request it. So it is not our fault — the money is already there,” Purbaya stated firmly.

Purbaya also dismissed claims that the allocated budget was unavailable.

“It is not that the money doesn’t exist. Sometimes the office hasn’t requested it from us. That’s all. If they request it, it is disbursed immediately,” he said.
