Finance Ministry and Budget Committee Agree on Preliminary 2027 State Budget Report

The Ministry of Finance and the House of Representatives’ Budget Committee (Banggar) have agreed on the working committee report for the preliminary discussion of the 2027 State Budget (RAPBN) and endorsed the 2027 Government Work Plan (RKP).

“In the working meeting, the DPR’s Banggar and the government agreed on the reports from the Banggar sub-committees that have discussed various aspects in the preliminary talks for the 2027 RAPBN and the 2027 RKP,” said Deni Surjantoro, Head of the Ministry of Finance’s Communication and Information Services Bureau, in a written statement in Jakarta on Monday.

The approval is part of the process of drafting the 2027 RAPBN, conducted through joint discussions between the House of Representatives (DPR) and the government. The working meeting was attended by government officials, representatives from Bank Indonesia, and members of the DPR’s Budget Committee.

Deni stated that this meeting marks the completion of the preliminary discussion phase for the 2027 RAPBN and RKP within the Budget Committee. The next stage of the budget formulation process will proceed according to the established timeline, including the submission of the Financial Note and the 2027 RAPBN Bill by the government to the DPR in August.
