Jakarta — Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa announced that the realisation of holiday allowance (THR) disbursement for state civil apparatus (ASN) personnel had reached Rp11 trillion as of Tuesday.

He assured that the THR budget for civil servants has been prepared and is ready for disbursement. However, not all allowances have been distributed because some government institutions have yet to submit their fund disbursement requests to the Finance Ministry.

“It’s been prepared. Some haven’t submitted their requests yet. But if everything is already complete, there shouldn’t be any obstacles. Unless people in the ASN division haven’t requested it from us — they have to request it,” said Purbaya after attending the inauguration ceremony for grade II officials at the Finance Ministry in Jakarta on Tuesday.

He stressed that delays in disbursement are not caused by insufficient government funds, but rather depend on submission requests from individual institutions.

“It’s not that the money isn’t available. Sometimes the office hasn’t requested it from us yet,” said the Finance Minister.

The government has allocated Rp55 trillion for 2026 THR payments, which is intended for central civil servants, regional civil servants, contract workers (PPPK), the military and police (TNI/Polri), as well as retirees.

Coordinating Minister for Economy Airlangga Hartarto noted that the 2026 THR budget has increased by approximately 10 per cent compared to the previous year, which amounted to Rp49 trillion.

THR disbursement is carried out in stages from 26 February 2026 until at the latest one week before Eid.

Airlangga detailed that THR will be distributed to 2.4 million central civil servants and TNI/Polri personnel with a total budget of Rp22.2 trillion. Subsequently, 4.3 million regional civil servants will receive THR totalling Rp20.2 trillion, whilst 3.8 million retirees will receive an allocated budget of Rp12.7 trillion.

He added that THR components are paid at 100 per cent, comprising basic salary, family allowance, food allowance, position allowance, and performance allowance in accordance with applicable regulations.

Airlangga also emphasised that THR differs from the thirteenth month salary, which is typically paid in June.
