Jakarta - Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa has once again inaugurated five Echelon II officials within the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) on Tuesday (21/4/2026). The inauguration was carried out based on Ministry of Finance Decree Number 94 of 2026 regarding Mutations in High Leadership Positions. “I believe that you will carry out your duties as best as possible in accordance with the responsibilities given. May Allah SWT, the Almighty God, be with us,” said Purbaya at the Ministry of Finance in Jakarta on Tuesday (21/4/2026). In his directives, Purbaya underscored the strategic position of the officials in safeguarding fiscal stability while promoting national economic growth. According to him, investor confidence will trigger capital inflows into the country, ultimately accelerating economic growth and creating jobs. “So the role of all of you is clear: safeguard the fiscal, drive growth, and ensure that this country remains stable. The impact of your work is long-term. You safeguard the fiscal, investors trust, investors trust, capital enters, the economy will grow faster, gradually creating more jobs,” he asserted. In addition, Purbaya also emphasised the importance of integrity in carrying out duties within the Kemenkeu environment. He reminded that there is no room for compromise against violations of principles. “You must safeguard your integrity. At Kemenkeu, there is no grey area—right is right, wrong is wrong. If you start compromising even a little, the effect can be chain-like. What starts small today becomes systemic tomorrow, and once it becomes systemic, it’s hard to reverse. So once again, don’t try it. Once again, we work harder by maintaining integrity,” he explained. The five inaugurated officials come from several Echelon I units at Kemenkeu, namely the General Secretariat, Directorate General of Economic and Fiscal Strategy (DJSEF), Directorate General of State Assets (DJKN), and Directorate General of Financial Sector Stability and Development (DJSPSK). This inauguration is part of efforts to refresh the organisation in order to strengthen Kemenkeu’s performance in maintaining economic stability amid global dynamics.
