Finance Minister Purbaya Showcases Eid Outfit for Rp125,000, Bought and Bargained at Tanah Abang Market

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa showcased a new outfit he bought at Tanah Abang while performing Eid Prayers at the DJP Mosque on Saturday (21/3/2026). “Tanah Abang, this,” said Purbaya while displaying his new shirt. He admitted to buying the shirt during a visit to Tanah Abang Market some time ago. The minister stated that the green koko shirt was purchased for Rp125,000 after bargaining. “Rp125,000, we bargained. Bargain a little,” Purbaya said. “It’s allowed (to bargain), we’re economising right now. Don’t make it obvious,” Purbaya joked. Purbaya himself revealed that the typical Eid dishes served at his home are two: ketupat and opor. “Ketupat and opor,” Purbaya said when asked by media personnel at the DJP Head Office mosque on Saturday (21/3/2026). However, the Finance Minister’s favourite dish is opor. “Opor,” he said.
