Finance Minister Purbaya Reports 2025 Education Budget Realisation at 19.1%

Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa has stated that the government is committed to prioritising the education budget at a minimum of 20% of the State Budget (APBN). He made the remarks during a plenary session at the DPR building in Jakarta on Tuesday, responding to views from factions regarding the accountability of the state budget.

Purbaya explained that the education budget is divided into three pillars of expenditure: central government spending, transfers to regions, and education financing. He noted that the realisation of the education budget has continued to increase year on year.

In 2025, the realisation of the education budget reached 19.1% of total state expenditure. Purbaya expressed hope that the realisation would be more optimal and continue to improve in 2026.
