Finance Minister Purbaya Offers Eid al-Fitr Greetings: May We Become Richer and Happier

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa extended Eid al-Fitr greetings to the Indonesian people. Purbaya prayed that Indonesians could become more successful, wealthier, and above all, happier after celebrating the victory of Idulfitri 1447 H. “Selamat Hari Raya Idulfitri, mohon maaf lahir batin. Semoga ke depan semuanya makin sukses, makin senang, makin kaya, makin bahagia,” he said after performing Eid prayers at the Central Office Mosque of the Directorate General of Taxes in Central Jakarta on Saturday (21/3/2026). In addition to offering holiday greetings, Purbaya also delivered an optimistic message regarding Indonesia’s economy, which he assessed as still strong. He even believes that economic growth can still reach up to 5.7% amid global conditions full of uncertainty. “Based on the latest figures, growth could be 5.6%-5.7% roughly speaking. That’s quite good in the current global situation.”
