Finance Minister Purbaya Considers Transferring DJA Staff to DJP: What's the Purpose?
JAKARTA - Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa is currently reviewing a policy for redistributing employees within the Ministry of Finance by transferring some staff from the Directorate General of Budget (DJA) to the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP).
This step is being considered as a solution to the imbalance in the number of human resources in both units.
The DJP is deemed to still lack employees, while the DJA is experiencing a surplus.
He revealed that the number of employees potentially to be transferred reaches around 213 people.
This scheme is considered more efficient because it does not add to the state budget burden through new recruitments.
Purbaya emphasised that the plan is still in the study phase and has not become a final decision.
On the other hand, this step also forms part of the internal organisational restructuring in the Ministry of Finance under Purbaya’s leadership since taking office in September 2025.
Previously, Purbaya also carried out a reshuffle at the leadership level by appointing Robert Leonard Marbun as Secretary General (Sekjen) of the Ministry of Finance, replacing Heru Pambudi who had served for about five years.
The appointment was based on Presidential Decree Number 24/TPA/2026, signed by President Prabowo Subianto on 16 March 2026.
