JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa revealed the involvement of naughty subordinates in causing the Coretax application to often run slowly.

According to him, the Coretax tax administration still faces various problems, from design to technical aspects that hinder taxpayers.

“In Coretax, suddenly there are reports again that it’s ‘spinning around’. Even though the problem had previously disappeared. It turns out that in our place, there is someone naughty,” said Purbaya at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, on Friday (27/3/2026).

“There is someone who contracted with one vendor that we had already stopped because of its slow service, and it was sneaked back in,” he revealed.

Purbaya promised to immediately investigate and take action against those naughty subordinates.

“Now they are not admitting who sneaked it in. Later, I will check again who entered that vendor. We will take action,” Purbaya said firmly.

In fact, it should have been made simple so that it is easy for the public to access.

“The design of Coretax is a bit odd. It should have been, when it was new, directly interfaced with the public so it’s easy, right? It turns out it was made a bit complicated, so that in the middle there is an interface application. There is someone selling it to large companies,” he explained.

“We will first secure all the Coretax that have these obstacles, after that I will clean up the interface space that was deliberately created,” said Purbaya.
