Finance Minister: PFII Bill Deliberations Accelerated for Plenary Ratification

Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa has acknowledged that deliberations on the Bill concerning the Indonesia International Financial Centre (RUU PFII) are being accelerated and will be passed into law during the second-level discussion or Plenary Session of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) on Tuesday, 21 July. During a meeting with Commission XI of the DPR RI at the Parliament Complex in Senayan, Jakarta, on Thursday, 2 July, Purbaya stated that the government considers the regulation a strategic step to attract investment, strengthen the national financial sector, and enhance Indonesia’s competitiveness on the global stage.
