Final Girder for Jakarta LRT Phase 1B Installed Above Manggarai Double-Double Track

PT Jakarta Propertindo, or Jakpro (Perseroda), has completed the lifting process for the final girder in the construction of the Jakarta LRT Phase 1B (Velodrome-Manggarai). The last girder has been installed above the Manggarai double-double track (DDT) area, which is one of the most critical points in the entire project. Jakpro President Director Iwan Takwin revealed that the Manggarai DDT area has been a special focus since the start of the Jakarta LRT Phase 1B project. This is because the Jakarta LRT line will be situated directly above the existing railway line, which has a high operational intensity. Therefore, he continued, lifting the girder in the Manggarai area required meticulous planning to ensure that railway operations could continue uninterrupted. ‘The Manggarai DDT area is the final critical point in the construction of the Jakarta LRT Phase 1B,’ Iwan said via a press statement in Jakarta on Wednesday (8/7/2026). With the installation of the final girder, the entire series of girder lifting works along the Velodrome-Manggarai corridor is now 100 percent connected. This is said to mark the completion of one of the most challenging construction stages in the development of the Jakarta LRT Phase 1B. According to Iwan, the successful lifting of the final girder at this point is a significant achievement for the entire field team, considering that the work challenges involved not only technical construction aspects but also safety coordination with ongoing railway operations.
