Final Farewell to Vidi Aldiano as Relatives, Friends and Bouquets Fill the Funeral Home
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The death of singer Vidi Aldiano has left deep sorrow for his family, friends, and colleagues in the entertainment industry. Since Saturday evening (7 March 2026), the funeral home in Cilandak Barat, South Jakarta, has been crowded with mourners paying their final respects to the singer of Nuansa Bening. A number of public figures, musicians, and close friends of the late artist have arrived in turn. The wake at Jalan Kecapi, Cilandak Barat, has been visited by mourners since the evening; vehicles of guests were seen coming and going to the family’s residence. Some public figures seen in attendance include Nadine Amizah with her husband Faishal Tanjung, then Thariq Halilintar and his wife Aaliyah Massaid, and Enzy Storia. A number of other celebrities were also seen paying their respects, including Rizky Febian, Afgan, Prilly Latuconsina, Lyodra Ginting, Anya Geraldine, Fadil Jaidi, and Maudy Ayunda. Most mourners arrived by private vehicles and went directly into the funeral area to offer condolences to the family. Officials were seen removing flower boards of various sizes to the house’s courtyard. The floral tributes were dominated by black, yellow, red, blue, and white. Condolences came from various quarters, from public figures, musicians, to institutions. One bouquet appeared to be from the Minister of Youth and Sports, Erick Thohir. “Condolences on the passing of Mr. Vidi Aldiano,” read the inscription on that bouquet. In addition, bouquets also came from the music group Project Pop, the Deputy Chairman of the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK RI) Budi Prijono, and singer and songwriter Marion Jola. Several fellow artists who came to pay their respects also shared memories of Vidi Aldiano. Actor Randy Martin described Vidi as a person loved by many.
