Final Day of School Selection Sees Surge in Registrations at SMAN 2 Indramayu

The registration for the Pemetaan Calon Murid Baru (PCMB) for senior high schools in West Java closed on Tuesday (9/6/2026) at 21.00 WIB. On the final day, a surge in registrations occurred at several schools. One significant increase was recorded at SMAN 2 Indramayu. As of Tuesday at 15.00 WIB, the number of prospective students selecting SMAN 2 Indramayu as their first choice had reached 245. This figure jumped from 190 registrants recorded on Monday (8/6/2026), representing an addition of approximately 55 new applicants in just one day. Head of SMAN 2 Indramayu, Erna Setyawati, predicted that the number of registrants would continue to increase until the evening. She noted that the PCMB system was scheduled to close at 21.00 WIB. “It is likely to continue increasing until tonight. Currently, those whose positions are not secure are rushing to change their choices, because the movement of rankings is now visible,” Erna said when met in her office on Tuesday (9/6/2026).
