Film festival free to public

JAKARTA (JP): The organizers of the forthcoming 40th Asia- Pacific Film Festival, which will be held on July 23-26, will provide free tickets for those interested in viewing the feature films.

The tickets are free to the public and can be obtained at the Asia-Pacific Film Festival's secretariat at Jl. Menteng Raya 62A in Central Jakarta starting July 20.

Organizers said 31 films will be screened at TIM 21 theater at Taman Ismail Marzuki (TIM) Arts Center in Central Jakarta from July 22 to 25 at 2.15 p.m. to 9.55 p.m. every day.

Films participating in the festival's competition this year come from Hong Kong, Korea, Taiwan, Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, New Zealand, Australia and Indonesia. Kuwait, Singapore, Vietnam, India and the Philippines will also have representatives present at the festival. (als)
