I now can enjoy watching foreign films dubbed in bahasa Indonesia. At first I felt something lacking in the dubbed films and it sounded strange to hear Indian or Mexican actors, for instance, speaking fluent Indonesian. But this feeling disappeared after some time. Dubbed films make watching easy because they save us the trouble of reading subtitles.

The children, too, are happy when seeing cartoons and action films that are dubbed in bahasa Indonesia, like Kesatria Baja Hitam. I am not suggesting that we should not learn foreign languages, there are still many films in their original language for those who want to learn other languages.
