Jakarta – Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa chaired the fifth debottlenecking session on Friday, 13 March at the Finance Ministry’s office in Jakarta. The session addressed import barriers, licensing issues, and investment obstacles encountered by businesses across various sectors.

The first agenda item examined the import licensing problems faced by PT Samator Indogas Tbk regarding ammonium nitrate, a substance used as a component in the production of N2O gas (anaesthetic gas) for medical purposes.

The second agenda item discussed complaints from the certification process for Indonesian National Standards (SNI) and SNI Product Certification through the National Industry Information System. Three companies filed complaints: PT Nakshatra Exim International, PT Eleganza Tile Indonesia, and PT Kairos Indah Sejahtera.

The third agenda item included a complaint from PT Galang Bumi Industri regarding the issuance of a Spatial Utilisation Conformity Recommendation (RKKPR) from the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN). This recommendation is required to support a National Strategic Project (PSN) in Batam and to realise investment in the region.

“Through this debottlenecking session, the government is seeking solutions to expedite the resolution of various administrative barriers so that investment and industrial activities can run more optimally,” said Purbaya.
