FIFA Series 2026 Schedule: When Will the Indonesian National Team Play and Against Whom?

The FIFA Series 2026 schedule will commence in late March. The tournament will involve 36 nations across nine host locations.

Indonesia has been selected as one of the host nations for the FIFA Series 2026, with Jakarta as the venue. The Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) has designated the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium as the arena for all matches on 27 and 30 March 2026.

The FIFA Series 2026 format consists of mini-tournaments with four teams each. Besides the Indonesian national team, three other nations will participate in Jakarta: Bulgaria from UEFA, Solomon Islands from OFC, and Saint Kitts and Nevis from CONCACAF.

In the opening match on Friday, 27 March 2026, Indonesia will face Saint Kitts and Nevis. In the other match on the same day, Bulgaria will play Solomon Islands. The two winners from each match will advance to the FIFA Series 2026 final on Monday, 30 March 2026.

Looking at world rankings, Bulgaria is ranked 86th and is the highest-ranked team among participants in Jakarta. Saint Kitts and Nevis is ranked 154th, whilst Solomon Islands is ranked 152nd. Indonesia currently sits at 122nd in the world rankings.

Coach John Herdman has been contracted for two years with the option of a two-year extension. With Herdman’s appointment, the FIFA Series 2026 is expected to serve as a catalyst for rebuilding the strength of the national squad on the international stage. The PSSI has set a target for the Indonesian national team to qualify for the 2030 World Cup. Accordingly, Herdman is expected to make the most of the FIFA Series 2026 opportunity.
