FIF restructures credit for 400 debtors affected by Aceh disaster
Banda Aceh (ANTARA) - PT Federal International Finance (FIF) Group has provided relaxation, restructuring, or deferral of credit payments to 400 debtors affected by the hydrometeorological disaster in Aceh, in accordance with Financial Services Authority (OJK) policy.
“We have carried out relaxation for almost 400 consumers in Aceh. Especially the most affected, namely in Aceh Tamiang,” said Head of FIFGroup Region Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam (NAD), Carlldinos A Farhan J Hamzens, in Banda Aceh on Friday.
The statement was delivered by Farhan to the media at the Banda Aceh Branch event. The stimulus restructuring programme for debtors affected by the Aceh disaster was rolled out by FIFGroup from November 2025 to January 2026.
As is known, the Financial Services Authority (OJK) established a policy of providing special treatment for credit or financing to debtors affected by the flood and landslide disaster in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra.
The policy was set at the OJK Board of Commissioners Meeting following data collection in the disaster areas, as well as an assessment showing that the disaster affected the local economy and in turn affected debtors’ ability to pay.
The provision of special treatment is also carried out as part of risk mitigation so that the disaster does not have a systemic impact, as well as to support the acceleration of regional economic recovery.
Farhan emphasised that his party has implemented the policy issued by the OJK for debtors affected by the Sumatra disaster, particularly in Aceh. This means that all rules set by the OJK can be complied with.
“FIF Group complies with all rules issued by the OJK, especially at the time of the disaster in November last year. After the disaster occurred, we have carried it out properly,” he said.
Farhan said that as a follow-up to the OJK policy, one of the steps taken was to implement relaxation or deferral of instalment payments in accordance with established regulations.
The relaxation, he said, is part of fulfilling requests from consumers who were indeed affected by the disaster, after verification and ensuring that the debtor is truly a disaster victim, then the relief is granted.
“The most is in Kuala Simpang, Aceh Tamiang. There, many were affected by the disaster and we have carried out the relaxation,” said Farhan.
The hydrometeorological disaster in Aceh at the end of November 2025 caused damage to 144,865 housing units, with details of 44,361 heavily damaged, 38,709 moderately damaged, and 61,795 lightly damaged.
In addition, for infrastructure and public facilities, 1,312 educational facilities, 631 houses of worship, 141 health facilities, and dozens of bridges and road sections suffered heavy to light damage.
Agricultural land, which is the largest contributor to Aceh’s economic growth, was also hit by floods, with 57,485 hectares of rice fields and 60,438 hectares of plantations suffering light to heavy damage.
The government, through the Task Force for the Acceleration of Post-Disaster Rehabilitation and Reconstruction (PRR) for Sumatra, has allocated Rp58.9 trillion (around 58.97 percent of the total Rp100.1 trillion for Sumatra recovery) for Aceh’s recovery, to be carried out in stages until 2028.
