Fierce, Ronaldo Immediately Scores After Ending His Playing Strike
Portuguese megastar Cristiano Ronaldo has ended his playing strike drama. He returned to action for Al Nassr and immediately made the difference as his team secured an important victory.
Ronaldo made his comeback when Al Nassr hosted Al Fateh. It didn’t take long for the captain to open the scoring in the 18th minute after latching onto a perfectly delivered cross from Sadio Mané. The trademark “siuuu” celebration echoed once again, seemingly marking the end of CR7’s cold spell.
Al Nassr’s victory was sealed by a goal from Ayman Yahya in the 78th minute. The additional three points keep the Yellow-Blue squad pushing at the top of the Saudi Pro League standings.
“One step forward. Let’s keep moving ahead,” Ronaldo wrote briefly on his social media account.
Ronaldo’s presence immediately had a significant impact. Al Nassr now have 52 points and trail league leaders Al Hilal by just one point. The title race is heating up.
Previously, Ronaldo had caused a stir with his playing strike. The protest was directed at the Public Investment Fund (PIF), which he felt was not serious enough about building Al Nassr’s strength. CR7’s frustration peaked when Al Hilal — also under the PIF umbrella — signed Karim Benzema from Al Ittihad. The situation led Ronaldo to temporarily step away.
Interestingly, however, Al Nassr managed to maintain their winning form during Ronaldo’s absence. Now, with the star back in the fold, Al Nassr remain on course in the title hunt and are ready to challenge Al Hilal’s dominance through the end of the season.
