Field verification by BPS: 3,934 catastrophic disease JKN PBI survivors already deceased
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) has confirmed that 3,934 souls from the BPJS Kesehatan PBI JKN segmentation with catastrophic diseases have passed away, based on the results of the first-stage field verification. BPS Head Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti stated that this finding stems from a ground check of 106,153 individuals who were previously reactivated as PBI JKN recipients identified with chronic or catastrophic illnesses requiring immediate services. “Yes, from our ground check results, we found 3,934 individuals who have already passed away,” she said during a press conference following a limited meeting with Social Minister Saifullah Yusuf in Jakarta on Wednesday. Amalia noted that the verification results have been submitted to the Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos) for follow-up in distributing PBI JKN benefits to eligible recipients. Additionally, Amalia confirmed that there are 89,559 individuals still alive and genuinely suffering from catastrophic diseases, making them potential continuants in the PBI JKN Programme. “Then there are around 9,401 individuals who have not yet been located and are currently still in the process of further tracing by BPS field officers,” she said. Thus, overall, BPS has successfully verified 105,129 individuals out of the total 106,153 data targeted for the first-stage ground check.
