FFI Announces 25-Player Provisional Squad for the National Futsal Team Ahead of ASEAN 2026

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Indonesian Futsal Federation (FFI) has announced 25 players who are on the provisional list for the Indonesian national futsal team as part of preparations for the ASEAN Futsal Championship 2026, which will take place in Nonthaburi, Thailand, from 5-12 April.

This announcement marks the initial stage of forming the Garuda squad before entering a training camp to determine the composition of the team that will compete in the regional tournament.

The FFI stated that the 25 players called up are the result of selections and monitoring by the coaching team throughout the domestic competition.

All players on the list come from clubs participating in the top-tier competition, the Pro Futsal League (PFL).

This call-up reaffirms the role of the PFL as a primary source of player development and supply for the national team, as the quality of competition at the league level increases.

The FFI confirmed that the list is not yet the final squad. The next stage is the announcement of a shorter list of players who will participate in the training camp.

The players on the provisional list are expected to maintain their performance and physical condition in the remaining league matches to secure their place in the training camp.
