Festo shares pneumatic secrets with Indonesia
Festo, which has long been recognized as the world's leader in the manufacture of pneumatic products, prides itself on providing comprehensive solutions to automation problems.
Offering an extensive range of pneumatic components and systems for automation, Festo gives its customers quality solutions and products for all their automation problems. This guarantee is backed by FESTO AG & CO, Germany, with ISO 9001 certificate of quality, which guarantees that from development, manufacture and testing, up to delivery, Festo provides superior products and service.
Festo is backed by a worldwide network of products and services, having offices in over 170 countries, including Indonesia, where it began operations in 1989. This network allows all of Festo's offices to draw on a world of experience and resources in providing its customers with all their required services.
One of the services offered by Festo is seminars and in-house training, allowing companies to keep their employees current with constantly changing technologies. As Festo says, "the major asset of any company is people."
By taking advantage of the training offered by Festo, companies are able to provide their employees further training in pneumatics, hydraulics, programmable control, sensing and automation. This ensures companies have the type of knowledgeable employees necessary to control technology, rather than being controlled by technology.
The seminars last for three days to four days, while in-house training can last for up to one month, depending on the training and services required.
With six students to eight students per seminar, participants are ensured the personalized attention necessary to guarantee a comprehensive understanding and mastery of technology.
Seminar instructors have a technical background, having undergone six months of intensive training at Festo. Each seminar is 50 percent theory and 50 percent practical. Participants will listen to lectures and read about how the technology works, which is an important aspect in learning. But they will also be able to get their hands dirty, so to speak, putting into practice the theories they have learned and the technologies they have read about.
Accordingly, the seminar room at Festo is equipped with all the hydraulic and pneumatic equipment and computers necessary to put the theories into practice and really get a grasp of the technology.
At the end of the seminar, participants who successfully complete the course are given a certificate verifying their mastery of the respective technology.
Festo Indonesia gives university students the opportunity to take the seminars, offering groups of at least 10 students a special price of 10 percent off the listed cost of the seminar.
During the difficult economic times Indonesia has faced over the past two years, one of the main casualties has been the training budgets of most industries.
Festo Indonesia fills this gap by providing the training necessary to keep companies competitive and give them a much needed edge in the world of industry.
This is all part of Festo's vision: Sharing technology with Indonesia. Contact Festo, Jl. Sultan Iskandar Muda No. 68, (Ateri Pondok Indah), Jakarta, 12240, tel: 7267358, fax: 7267386 or e- mail: festo@rad.net.id for information.
