The name Ferdy Sambo is once again in the spotlight after his second son, Tribrata Putra, also known as Brata, reportedly successfully completed a phase of education at the Police Academy (Akpol) in 2026. Behind this news, the public is also focusing on the educational journey of the former high-ranking police officer’s children.
Not many are aware that not only Brata, but also Ferdy Sambo’s daughter, Trishanna Datia, is currently studying at Taruna Nusantara High School in Magelang. This fact has led many to question whether education at the prestigious boarding school serves as a stepping stone for the children to follow in the footsteps of their father, who once served as a high-ranking officer in the Indonesian National Police.
Taruna Nusantara High School is known as one of Indonesia’s elite institutions, instilling values of discipline, leadership, and nationalism. Many of its graduates continue their education at the Police Academy (Akpol), the Military Academy (Akmil), or other leading universities.
Here are the facts regarding the two children of Ferdy Sambo pursuing education at Taruna Nusantara.
- Tribrata Putra
Ferdy Sambo’s second son, Tribrata Putra, familiarly known as Brata, is an alumnus of Taruna Nusantara High School in Magelang. Brata was a student of the 31st cohort and completed his studies in May 2023. His graduation moment drew attention as he was accompanied by his older sister, Trisha Eungelica.
Shortly after graduating from Taruna Nusantara, Brata took part in the Police Academy cadet selection process through the Metro Jaya Regional Police. He successfully passed the final recruitment hearing for Akpol cadets in 2023.
His name has recently resurfaced following a statement from Ferdy Sambo and Putri Candrawathi regarding his progress in the 2026 Akpol education phase. In their message, Brata was wished well in carrying out his service as a prospective police officer with full dedication and by upholding the spirit of Rastra Sewakottama.
Brata’s decision to continue his education at the Police Academy has led many to believe he is following in his father’s footsteps. Before being sentenced to life imprisonment for the premeditated murder of Brigadier Nofriansyah Yosua Hutabarat, also known as Brigadier J, Ferdy Sambo was an Inspector General of the Indonesian National Police, with his last position being Head of the Profession and Security Division (Kadiv Propam).
