Feny and Aldi’s Wedding Day Ruined as WO Marwah’s Fraud Exposed on Wedding Eve
JAKARTA – A day meant to be filled with happiness for Feny, 32, and Aldi, 32, instead turned into a bitter experience. Their wedding reception at the Islamic Centre in Bekasi City descended into chaos after the couple allegedly fell victim to a scam by wedding organiser Marwah. The couple reported the Cakung-based WO to East Jakarta Police Headquarters on Sunday (24 May 2026) evening. Aldi stated that Marwah failed to deliver the wedding reception package despite the full payment of Rp85 million. “All evidence is digital—chats, transactions, signed statements, and photos from the owner,” Aldi said at East Jakarta Police Headquarters on Sunday evening. Feny recounted that her initial contact with Marwah began on Instagram, where she was drawn in by the offered wedding packages. Preparations proceeded step by step. Feny first paid a down payment (DP), followed by a food tasting session organised by the WO. “I paid the DP first. After that, I did the food tasting. I went directly to Marwah’s event,” Feny said. During the food tasting, Feny said she had no suspicions, observing the WO’s operations as normal with numerous staff on site. Various promised facilities were shown to her, including food stalls, makeup artists (MUA), MCs, decorations, and a bridal model. Over time, Feny’s confidence in the WO grew stronger, leading her to settle the full payment for the wedding package in early April 2026. Additionally, on 11 May 2026, she made an extra payment to increase the guest count, bringing the total paid to Rp85 million. Preparations that initially ran smoothly began raising concerns on 13 May 2026.
