Female Student Victim of Harassment by Ponpes Founder in Pati Demands Severe Punishment for Perpetrator

The victim expressed this during her appearance alongside lawyer Hotman Paris Hutapea in Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta, on Thursday (7/5/2026). On that occasion, the victim learned that AS had been arrested and hoped for severe punishment. “May the perpetrator be punished as severely as possible,” said the victim. The victim also requested that the police handle the case seriously. She did not want the police to be influenced by any party. “Do not be swayed by any persuasion. It’s pitiful, many of my friends at the boarding school are truly victims,” she explained. On that occasion, Hotman Paris stated that the victim is underage. Hotman said the victim had been staying at the pesantren for nearly three years. “So from the preliminary admission from this young lady, she is still underage, she has been there for almost three years,” Hotman said. As is known, AS (51), the Pati sex predator and founder of the pesantren, who raped dozens of female students in Pati Regency, has now been arrested and designated as a suspect. The suspect’s heinous modus operandi was revealed, having carried out his actions for four years against the victims. “The incident occurred between February 2020 and January 2024. The location was at the pesantren in Tlogowungu Subdistrict, Pati Regency,” said Pati Police Chief Kombes Jaka Wahyudi, quoted from detikJateng. Jaka said the suspect carried out the molestation against the victims over four years, namely from 2020 to 2024. “At the pesantren, the criminal act of child molestation and sexual violence was committed by the suspect AS (51),” he explained.
