Female Motorcyclist Killed by Collapsing Videotron in Majalengka

A female motorcyclist has died after being crushed by a collapsing videotron in the Cigasong area of Majalengka Regency, West Java. The incident occurred around 6.15pm local time on Friday (24/7/2026).

Direktur RSUD Majalengka, dr. Egga Bramasta Akidapi, confirmed the fatality. The victim was identified as a resident of Blok Surabaya, Heuleut Village, Banjaran District, Majalengka Regency.

A local shopkeeper, Aditya (22), reported that the videotron had been visibly swaying since the previous day. He stated that he had recorded a video of the unstable structure around 10am on Thursday. Following reports from the public about the dangerous condition, officials partially closed the road shoulder near the site, but did not implement a full road closure.
