Female Employee Becomes Victim of Sexual Assault by Superior, Perpetrator Was Once Fugitive in Corruption Case
JAKARTA – A female employee with the initials RIS claims to have been the victim of a criminal act of sexual violence (TPKS) allegedly committed by her superior, F, at an office in Central Jakarta in October 2022.
The case has resurfaced after the victim shared her experience in a video uploaded to the Instagram account @tangsel.life. In the video, the victim describes herself as a victim of sexual violence by a businessman with the initials FA.
The victim also mentioned the perpetrator’s track record, stating that he was once a fugitive in a corruption case in 2012.
“This incident happened not just once, but whenever there was an opportunity, he would do it,” RIS explained to Kompas.com on Monday (30/3/2026).
She admitted that she does not remember all the locations of the incidents in detail. However, one incident she still recalls occurred in the directors’ meeting room on the second floor of her office building.
As a result of the incident, RIS suffered deep trauma. She also experienced a demotion that impacted her income reduction.
In her recovery efforts, the victim said she did not feel helped by psychological services. She chose to take sedatives, but the effects made her memory of the experienced events incomplete.
On Thursday (26/3/2026), police arranged a confrontation between the victim and the suspect. However, RIS requested not to be placed in the same room as the perpetrator due to ongoing trauma.
“We were still confronted initially, but I asked the investigators not to put me in the same room as the suspect,” said RIS.
The Head of Public Relations for Metro Jaya Police, Commissioner Budi Hermanto, confirmed that F has been designated as a suspect in the sexual violence case.
“F was designated as a suspect since July 2025 and was once listed as a DPO before finally complying with the investigators’ summons,” Budi confirmed to Kompas.com on Monday (30/3/2026).
In the investigation process, police have examined several experts, from forensic experts, clinical psychologists, to experts in criminal acts of sexual violence.
During the confrontation meeting, the situation became heated, and a dispute occurred between the two parties.
The suspect became the target in the incident, so the investigators immediately took steps to separate the involved parties. Currently, three people have been arrested by the police in connection with alleged assault.
