Feeling Always Supported by Workers, Prabowo Vows to Prosper the People
Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Prabowo Subianto stated that he feels consistently supported by workers and labourers, and he reaffirmed his oath to strive for the prosperity of all Indonesians, especially those whose lives remain difficult.
“I feel that the working class has always supported me several times, and I feel that I became President because of the support from workers, farmers, fishermen, and all workers across Indonesia,” Prabowo said in his speech at the peak of the 2026 International Labour Day commemoration or May Day at the National Monument area in Central Jakarta on Friday morning.
“And I am determined, I swear to fight for the interests of all the Indonesian people and especially those whose lives are still difficult,” he added.
Prabowo described his presence at the Labour Day commemoration as an honour, particularly since he feels always supported by workers throughout his political journey.
Prabowo conveyed that the government’s task is to advocate for the people’s interests and ensure that policies taken are favourable to the community, especially workers.
The President emphasised that the government he leads is determined to defend the interests of all Indonesians, particularly those still facing life difficulties.
The Head of State assessed that in the past year, the public could see that the policies of the government he leads are directed towards defending all Indonesians, especially workers.
“Brothers and sisters, I think in this one year, you can judge the policies taken by the government I lead as policies that defend all the Indonesian people, especially workers,” Prabowo said.
