Feeling Aggrieved, JK Reports Rismon Over Allegations Regarding Jokowi's Diploma Funding
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The 10th and 12th Vice President of Indonesia, Jusuf Kalla (JK), has reported digital forensics expert Rismon Hasiholan Sianipar to the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim Polri) because he feels aggrieved by the accusations of funding the reporting regarding the authenticity of the educational credentials of the 7th President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo.
“I am reporting Mr Rismon Sianipar for his actions that I consider damaging to me because he said that I funded Roy Suryo and associates regarding Mr Jokowi’s diploma,” he said when met at the Bareskrim Polri Building, Jakarta, on Wednesday.
He emphasised that he never carried out such actions and considered the accusation a form of insult to him.
“For me, this is an insult because it is highly unethical for me; Mr Jokowi is the President, of whom I was the deputy. We were together in the government, side by side for five years. Would I pay someone Rp 5 billion to investigate him? That is inappropriate and impossible for me to do,” he said.
JK’s report was received by Bareskrim Polri under number LP/B/135/IV/SPKT Bareskrim Polri dated Wednesday, 8 April 2026.
The alleged criminal acts reported are broadcasting or disseminating news or reporting that is reasonably suspected to be false and/or slander and/or defamation as referred to in Article 263 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 434 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 433 Number 1 of 2023 on the Criminal Code and/or Article 27A in conjunction with Article 45 paragraph (4) of Law Number 1 of 2024 on the Second Amendment to Law Number 11 of 2008 on Electronic Information and Transactions (ITE).
The reported parties are the suspect Rismon Hasiholan Sianipar, the owner of the YouTube account named @stusiomusikrockciamis, and the owner of the Facebook account named 1922 Pusat Madiun.
