Febryan Kills Orphaned Woman by Throwing Her from BORR Toll Road Overpass Over Heartbreak

Bogor City Police have uncovered a case where a woman was thrown from the BORR toll road overpass onto Sholeh Iskandar Road in Bogor. Suspect M Febryan, also known as Ambon (26), told police he killed the victim out of resentment over her remarks.

Bogor City Police Chief Kombes Rio Wahyu Anggoro stated the victim and suspect were former high school friends who reunited. During their first meeting, the suspect said he felt hurt by the victim’s reaction when he mentioned his parents had passed away.

‘On 2 May 2026, they met at Air Mancur, where the victim asked the suspect about his parents. According to the suspect’s testimony, he replied, “I no longer have parents,” leading to comments that upset him,’ Rio said on Monday (25 May 2026).

Citing resentment, the suspect then planned a second meeting with the intent to kill the victim. He brought a machete and a blue tie in his bag for the attack.

‘Due to deep resentment, the suspect arranged a second meeting two weeks later on Friday, 22 May. During this meeting, the victim was unaware the suspect had prepared the weapons,’ Rio added.

Meanwhile, Bogor City Police’s Reskrim Chief AKP Bagus Azi Lesmana said authorities are still investigating possible additional motives.

‘At present, the motive is considered singular, but we are still probing the suspect’s statements and conducting further interrogations,’ Azi said.

In written statements, the victim reportedly told the suspect, ‘Poor you for not having parents’.

‘The suspect and victim discussed their personal lives, leading the victim to say, “Poor you for not having parents,” and mock the suspect, MF. This caused MF to harbour resentment towards victim AA and fuelled a desire for revenge,’ Azi said.

The body of AA was found dead on Sholeh Iskandar Road in Tanah Sareal District, Bogor, at around 1:15 am on Saturday (23 May). The victim had said goodbye to go for coffee on Friday (22 May) at around 10 pm.

The victim is believed to have been killed by suspect M Febryan. Police arrested Febryan after he fled in the victim’s car, crashing while evading pursuit on the toll road.
