Febryan Extorted Victim Before Murdering and Dumping Body from BORR Toll Road
Bogor City Police Chief Kombes Rio Wahyu Anggoro stated that suspect M Febryan (MF), also known as Ambon (26), extorted money from the victim, identified as AA (25), before murdering her. Febryan claimed the money was demanded as a form of reconciliation or apology for the victim’s remarks that had upset him.
“The suspect brandished a machete and threatened to kill, but then stated he wanted money for peace or safety. The victim refused, so he executed her inside the car by strangling her with a tie,” Rio said during a press release on Monday, 25 May 2026.
Rio added that the suspect also stole approximately Rp 4 million in cash from the victim, which police recovered during his arrest on Cisumdawu Toll Road.
“Evidence found at KM 163 includes a machete, a tie used to strangle the victim, the victim’s car, and the stolen cash of approximately Rp 4 million,” Rio stated.
“The Toyota Yaris belonged to the victim, along with her personal belongings such as clothing, a wallet, and identity documents, which we have displayed,” he added.
Febryan claimed he was provoked after the victim said “pity you have no parents”, leading to the murder. The suspect strangled AA with a tie before dumping her body from the BORR toll road overpass.
“On 2 May 2026, they met at Air Mancur, where the victim asked the suspect about his parents. According to the suspect’s statement, he replied ‘I have no parents’, which led to remarks that upset him,” Rio said.
Febryan murdered the victim inside her own car, having prepared a tie and machete for the attack.
“The execution took place inside the car in Pakansari, near Pakansari Stadium. The victim was strangled with a tie brought by the suspect,” Rio said.
Rio added that the suspect drove around with the weakened victim before throwing her from the BORR toll road overpass onto Sholeh Iskandar Street (Sholis) in Bogor City.
AA’s body was found dead on Sholeh Iskandar Street on Saturday, 23 May at approximately 1:15 AM. The victim had last been seen saying goodbye before going for coffee on Friday, 22 May around 10 PM.
The victim is believed to have been killed by Febryan’s assault. Police arrested Febryan on Cisumdawu Toll Road while he was fleeing in the victim’s car. He lost control of the vehicle during the police chase.
