Febrie Named Suspect in 3 Corruption Cases, Police Transfer Cases to AGO

The Indonesian National Police (Polri) have transferred three corruption cases to the Attorney General’s Office, after naming two suspects: former Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) Febrie Adriansyah and a private individual, Don Ritto. The transfer was confirmed by Acting Jampidsus Rudi Margono. “We formally accept the handover of these three cases today, as a commitment to accelerate professional and synergistic handling, because the public is waiting for the resolution of these cases,” Margono said at the Attorney General’s Office building in South Jakarta on Saturday (11/7/2026). The three cases involve alleged corruption in coal mining, ASABRI, and Krakatau Steel. Police had previously searched a money changer and Cafe de’Clan Signature in the Cipete area of South Jakarta, as well as a house in the Bogor area of West Java. The cases are the result of a joint investigation between the Police’s Corruption Eradication Corps (Kortastipidkor) and the Polda Metro Jaya Special Criminal Investigation Directorate. Head of Kortastipidkor Inspector General Totok Suharyanto stated that the transfer was made to foster synergy among law enforcement agencies. “We have agreed with the Attorney General’s Office that the police’s handling of the investigation into these three cases has been transferred to the AGO in the spirit of synergy,” Totok said during a press conference in Jakarta on Saturday (11/7). Totok added that during the police’s handling of the cases, Kortastipidkor had examined 15 witnesses and two experts, and had conducted searches at several locations believed to be linked to the cases.
