Febrie Adriansyah Resigns as Jampidsus, Attorney General's Office Cites Integrity and Neutrality

The Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) has explained the reason behind the resignation of Febrie Adriansyah from the post of Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus), which was announced on Saturday, 11 July 2026. The Adhyaksa Corps stated the decision was taken as a form of commitment to maintaining integrity, objectivity, and neutrality amidst a legal process currently being handled by the Indonesian National Police. Head of the Legal Information Centre (Kapuspenkum) at the Attorney General’s Office, Anang Supriatna, said the step taken by Febrie was part of an effort to safeguard the credibility of the law enforcement process. “The decision is a form of commitment to maintaining the integrity, objectivity, and neutrality of the law enforcement process in line with the legal process being carried out by investigators of the Indonesian National Police,” Anang said in an official statement on Saturday, 11 July 2026. Anang stressed that the Adhyaksa Corps respects the decision. He confirmed that Febrie’s resignation will not affect the execution of duties or the handling of cases within the Jampidsus environment. According to him, all organisational functions and law enforcement processes will continue to run according to the applicable mechanisms. Furthermore, the Attorney General’s Office invited the public to give space for the ongoing legal process and not to disregard the principle of presumption of innocence. “The Attorney General’s Office invites all parties to respect the ongoing legal process and continue to uphold the principle of presumption of innocence,” said Anang. It was previously reported that Attorney General ST Burhanuddin had accepted the resignation of Febrie Adriansyah from his position as Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus). The news was conveyed by the Head of the Legal Information Centre (Kapuspenkum) of the Attorney General’s Office, Anang Supriatna, through a written statement on Saturday, 11 July 2026. “The Attorney General of the Republic of Indonesia, ST Burhanuddin, has accepted the resignation of Febrie Adriansyah from his position as Jampidsus,” said Anang.
