Febrie Adriansyah Resigns as Jampidsus After Admitting Sentul House is His
Febrie Adriansyah has resigned from his position as Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus). The resignation came after Febrie admitted that a house in the Sentul area of Bogor, which had been searched by the police, was his private residence.
The Attorney General’s Office stated that Attorney General ST Burhanuddin had accepted Febrie’s resignation. The move was claimed to be a form of commitment to maintaining the institution’s integrity.
“The decision is a form of commitment to maintaining the integrity, objectivity, and neutrality of the law enforcement process, in line with the ongoing legal process being conducted by investigators from the Indonesian National Police,” said the Head of the Attorney General’s Legal Information Centre, Anang Supriatna, on Saturday (11/7/2026).
Anang said the Attorney General’s Office respected the decision. He confirmed that all duties and case handling functions within the Adhyaksa Corps would continue to operate normally.
“The Attorney General’s Office respects the decision and ensures that all duties, functions, and case handling within the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes will continue to run normally and in accordance with applicable mechanisms,” Anang said. “The Attorney General’s Office invites all parties to respect the ongoing legal process and to continue to uphold the principle of presumption of innocence.”
Previously, Febrie had responded to news of a search conducted by the Police Corruption Eradication Corps (Kortastipidkor) together with the Special Criminal Investigation Directorate of the Metro Jaya Regional Police. He confirmed that the house in the Sentul area was his private residence.
“Regarding the Sentul house, it is indeed the private residence of the Jampidsus and has been for a long time. You can see the ownership process from the beginning,” Febrie said at the Attorney General’s Office in South Jakarta on Friday (10/7) afternoon.
Febrie also stated his readiness to provide clarification regarding the cash and 74 kilograms of gold reportedly found by investigators during the search. According to him, a detailed explanation regarding these matters would be delivered through the appropriate legal mechanisms, not through a press conference.
“Regarding the money, I have explained that what was found has an owner, that there are activities, there are also people who are recipients of the activities, that can also be asked. But of course not through a forum like this, but through a forum that is in accordance with legal procedures,” Febrie concluded.
