Investigators from the Attorney General’s Office (Kejaksaan Agung) have again summoned former Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) Febrie Adriansyah for questioning as a suspect in a corruption and money laundering (TPPU) case on Tuesday (8/9/2026).

Febrie’s lawyer, Febri Diansyah, said the examination of his client would take place at the Attorney General’s Office.

“The examination is scheduled for today, Tuesday at 09.00 WIB at the Attorney General’s Office of the Republic of Indonesia,” Febri told reporters on Tuesday (8/9/2026).

Febrie further explained that his client was being questioned as a suspect in the alleged corruption and money laundering case involving PT Asabri.

“Based on the summons letter we received, today Mr FA is scheduled to be questioned as a suspect in the investigation into alleged corruption and money laundering committed by state officials in the handling of the PT Asabri and/or PT Asuransi Jiwasraya cases,” Febri explained.

This was carried out on the basis of the Investigation Order of the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes Number PRIN-45/F/Fd.2/07/2026 dated 13 [July], the Suspect Determination Letter Number S.Tap/02/VII/RES.3.3/2026 issued by Polda Metro Jaya dated 10 July 2026 concerning the designation of Febrie Adriansyah as a suspect, in conjunction with the South Jakarta Pre-Trial Ruling Number 134/Pid.Pra/2026/PN.JKT.SEL dated 27 August 2026 and Number 135/Pid.Pra/2026/PN.JKT.SEL dated 28 August 2026.

“Although this is the first time we have seen a suspect summons based on a suspect determination by another agency and pre-trial rulings, Mr FA will be cooperative and respect the law by attending this examination. As his advocates, we will accompany him during the questioning,” Febri said.

It was previously reported that Attorney General ST Burhanuddin temporarily dismissed Febrie Adriansyah from his status as a prosecutor.

This was confirmed by the Head of the Legal Information Centre at the Attorney General’s Office, Anang Supriatna, on Tuesday (4/8/2026).

“That is correct, Mr FA has currently been temporarily dismissed. It was the Attorney General who dismissed him,” Anang said.

Anang went on to explain that the temporary dismissal would remain in place until a legally binding verdict is reached in the money laundering case involving Febrie.

“While awaiting a verdict with permanent legal force, or inkracht,” Anang explained.
