Febrie Adriansyah Officially Named Suspect: A Timeline of the Case

Former Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus), Febrie Adriansyah, has been officially named a suspect in a corruption and money laundering case. The announcement was made by the Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Indonesian National Police, Inspector General Totok Suharyanto, during a meeting with Commission III of the House of Representatives on Saturday, 11 July 2026. “We have named FA as a suspect in the alleged corruption and money laundering case related to the legal process handling by state officials,” he stated. Police also named a private sector individual, identified as DR, as a suspect for money laundering offences linked to the alleged corruption.

The case against Febrie Adriansyah is connected to several major investigations, including alleged corruption in the procurement of coal by PLN which reportedly triggered a blackout, the PT Asabri corruption scandal, and suspected money laundering in the settlement of debts by PT CBS to PT KNI, a subsidiary of Krakatau Steel.

As part of the investigation, police conducted a series of raids. On Wednesday, 8 July 2026, investigators searched Cafe de’CLAN and Koin Money Changer in Cipete. At the cafe, a large safe was discovered containing SGD 3,130,000, USD 889,965, and IDR 259,159,000 in cash, along with various documents and electronic devices. From the money changer, police seized a range of foreign currencies and IDR 4,462,365,000 in cash. On the same day, a raid on a house in the Sentul area of Bogor uncovered a safe containing 74 kilograms of gold, USD 4,767,300, SGD 14,083,800, and IDR 100 million in cash, as well as two family photo frames. A subsequent search of a house in the Cilandak area of South Jakarta yielded IDR 520 million. In total, police conducted searches at 12 locations, including Cengkareng, Penjaringan, Petojo, North Serpong, Mega Kuningan, Kuningan, Karet Kuningan, South Gandaria, and Pacific Place.
