Febrie Adriansyah Not Detained After Questioning as Suspect at Attorney General's Office

Former Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus), Febrie Adriansyah, was not detained after completing his examination as a suspect at the Attorney General’s Office on Friday (17/7/2026).

Febrie’s lawyer, Hotman Paris, stated that his client underwent an intensive questioning process at the Attorney General’s Office starting in the morning. He said Febrie was asked 18 questions by investigators.

“Today he was questioned from nine o’clock. From nine o’clock until just now. There were 18 questions,” Hotman told reporters in front of the Round Building of the Attorney General’s Office, Jakarta, on Friday evening.

Hotman emphasised that his client was cooperative and answered all of the investigators’ questions properly. He also confirmed that no detention was imposed by the Attorney General’s Office investigators on Febrie today.

“The 18 questions were answered well, and the conclusion is no detention. He was examined as a suspect, and there is no detention today,” the senior lawyer asserted.

Furthermore, Hotman explained that the investigators’ examination material today had not yet touched on all the investigation warrants transferred by the police. Of the three major case clusters implicating his client, investigators have only delved into one main case.

“Today was only limited to the PT ASABRI case. As is known, there are three cases. The first case is PT ASABRI, the second case is the blackout case in Sumatra, the third case concerns PT Krakatau Steel. Today only one,” he explained.
