Febrie Adriansyah Named Suspect, Attorney General's Office to Study Evidence from Police

The Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) is currently coordinating with the Indonesian National Police (Polri) to study the evidence related to the transfer of the case involving former Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus), Febrie Adriansyah. Febrie has been named a suspect in a corruption and money laundering (TPPU) case by Polri, and the handling of his case has been transferred to the Kejagung. “The information is that he has been named a suspect by Kakortas. He has not been detained yet, that’s the information,” said Acting Jampidsus and Junior Attorney General for Supervision (Jamwas), Rudi Margono, to reporters at the Main Building of the Attorney General’s Office in South Jakarta on Saturday (11/7/2026). Following this transfer, the Kejagung will continue the investigation initiated by Polri. Rudi stated that his party would soon conduct an exposé or case review together with the Polri’s Corruption Eradication Task Force (Kortas Tipikor) team once all case files and official reports are received. “We are waiting for the development in the investigation, the transfer. The files will follow today, along with the official reports. Then we will hold an exposé together with the Kortas Tipikor team,” he explained. Rudi confirmed that his office would study all case materials, including evidence and exhibits currently still held by the Metro Jaya Regional Police. The evidence will be transferred after further coordination with Polri’s Kortas Tipikor. “Technically, we just received it today, we will study it first, we will examine the evidence, the exhibits, and then the material elements together with Kortas Tipikor,” said Rudi. “We will ensure our professionalism in handling this case. That is why we conveyed earlier that with this transfer, we are not letting go, but we remain in synergy,” he stressed. Previously, a press conference at the Attorney General’s Office stated that three suspected corruption cases previously handled by Polri’s Kortas Tipikor and the Metro Jaya Regional Police were being transferred to the Kejagung. The transfer was made as an effort to accelerate case resolution while strengthening synergy between law enforcement agencies. “This afternoon, we will formally receive the transfer of three cases, as a form of commitment to accelerate professionalism and synergy together,” said Acting Jampidsus Rudi Margono during the press conference on Saturday (11/7). According to him, the public is paying attention to the resolution of these cases. Therefore, accelerating the handling is one of the main focuses. “Because the fact is, the public is waiting for the resolution of the case as conveyed by the Chair of Commission III,” he said.
