Febrie Adriansyah Detained at KPK Detention Centre for 20 Days

Former Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) Febrie Adriansyah has officially begun a 20-day detention period at the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) detention centre. The detention is linked to an alleged money laundering case. His lawyer, Febri Diansyah, confirmed that the detention was fully under the authority of the Attorney General’s Office investigators, though the specific reasons for choosing the KPK facility remain unclear to the legal team. “The detention order states that the detention is for 20 days,” Febri Diansyah stated at the Attorney General’s Office on Friday evening. He emphasised that his client is committed to being cooperative and will explain everything he knows as a form of respect for the ongoing legal process. Regarding the specifics of the case, Febri revealed that there are currently three investigation warrants targeting his client. One warrant originates from the National Police regarding the ASABRI case, while the other two are general warrants from the Attorney General’s Office. Separately, KPK Deputy for Coordination and Supervision Ely Kusumastuti explained that the KPK received a request for assistance in detaining the suspect from the Attorney General’s Office earlier that day. The detention marks a new chapter in the case involving the former high-ranking prosecutor, highlighting inter-agency coordination in the investigation.
