Febri Diansyah States Rp 171 Trillion State Loss in Pertamina Case Is Still an Assumption
Jakarta, VIVA – Legal practitioner Febri Diansyah clarified the narrative that state losses in the alleged graft concerning oil management and refinery products by PT Pertamina (Persero) reached Rp 171 trillion. The narrative had been cited in one of the Instagram posts by @jaksapedia on Wednesday, 4 March 2026. Febri urged the account to provide accurate information, noting that the Jakarta Corruption Court panel in its ruling stated that the Rp 171 trillion figure as a loss to the state economy is still an assumption. “Min, be careful with sharing information. It is not correct that Rp 171 trillion is the state loss. What is correct is the alleged loss to the national economy. And yesterday the PN judge said it was not proven because it was an assumption,” Febri said in a statement on Thursday, 5 March 2026. Febri attached a news link regarding the Jakarta Tipikor Court judge’s decision that the Rp 171 trillion loss in the case was not proven. “Let us educate the public with correct information,” he wrote. It was reported that the Jakarta Tipikor Court panel stated that the loss to the national economy was Rp 171.9 trillion or precisely Rp 171,997,835,294,293 in the matter of alleged corruption in oil management. The panel stated that the calculation of the losses to the national economy was not real and not certain. “The panel notes that the loss to the state financial economy being supported by the testimony of experts Nailul Huda and Wiko Saputra is because it is hypothetical; thus the panel considers that calculation to be hypothetical and influenced by many factors, making it uncertain and not real, so the existence of loss to the national economy cannot yet be proven,” said associate judge Sigit Herman Binaji when reading the decision at the Jakarta Tipikor Court on Thursday, 26 February 2026. Meanwhile, the panel stated the element of harming state finances has been fulfilled. The panel stated there is a state financial loss of Rp 9.4 trillion in accordance with the audit finding by BPK No. 26 and onwards, conducted in relation to calculating state financial losses for the oil management of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM). It also stated that PT Pertamina’s loss is Rp 2,545,277,386,935 (about Rp 2.5 trillion), which is part of the overall state financial loss in the sale of non-subsidised diesel by PT Pertamina and PT PPN from 2018-2023, totaling Rp 9,415,196,905,676.86 (about Rp 9.4 trillion),” the article quotes.”
