FDC launches app, making dentist reservations easier and more transparent
Jakarta (ANTARA) - FDC Dental Clinic has launched a digital-based dental health service app that allows patients to make dentist reservations quickly and efficiently, while gaining price transparency.
Founder and CEO of FDC, Drg. Ita Lestari, MARS, stated that the technology development was undertaken to address the challenges that have long made the public reluctant to visit the dentist, such as fear, high costs, and lengthy service processes.
“We believe technology can provide convenience for patients, as previously patients were afraid to go to the dentist because the process was long and they feared it would be expensive. With this app, we hope FDC can provide a solution, in addition to speed and ease, also price transparency,” she said at the FDC Festival in Gelora Bung Karno, Jakarta, on Saturday.
This price transparency is one of the unique features highlighted by FDC to address public concerns about dental treatment costs that are often perceived as expensive and uncertain.
On the same occasion, one of FDC’s dentists, drg. Irvanda Mulyaningsih, Sp.Ort., said the app ensures patients no longer arrive at the clinic without knowing basic information about the services they will receive.
“Through the FDC app, the reservation process, which previously took an average of around 30 minutes via human agent services through WhatsApp or call centre, can now be done in just around 15-20 seconds. Customers can choose the nearest clinic branch, determine the schedule and dentist, and obtain service information and cost estimates directly via smartphone,” she added.
Furthermore, Ita revealed that the launch signifies FDC’s transformation from a conventional dental clinic into a technology company focused on dental clinic services and customer experience.
“Today, we are transforming into a technology company focused on dental health services. We have learned a lot and benchmarked against other technology companies that place customer experience as the top priority,” Ita said.
The development of the FDC app was carried out to meet the high and continuously increasing daily customer service needs.
Currently, FDC handles more than 60,000 reservations every month, or an average of more than 2,000 patients per day. The FDC app has been used by more than 1.5 million users in Indonesia.
