Jakarta (ANTARA) - As part of the FDC Festival at the Madya Stadium in Gelora Bung Karno, Jakarta, on Saturday, FDC Dental Clinic launched the FDC Foundation as a social movement focused on education, health, and the development of leadership among Indonesia’s young generation.

The founder and CEO of the FDC Foundation, Drg. Ita Lestari, MARS, stated that the foundation was established to broaden the social impact of FDC Dental Clinic amid the still limited access to dental healthcare services and educational challenges in society.

“We want to contribute more to the community. The FDC Foundation operates in three areas: health, education, social, and leadership. We hope that through our efforts, we can spread benefits to even more people,” she said.

Through the FDC Scholarship, the foundation provides educational support for dentistry students, specialist dentists, oral therapists, and general students who face financial limitations but are accomplished and socially active.

Meanwhile, through FDC Berbagi, the foundation offers free dental examinations and treatments for underprivileged communities and runs the “Goes to Village” programme in several remote areas of Indonesia, including Ciptagelar in Sukabumi, Labuan Bajo, and Sorong in Southwest Papua.

The FDC Leadership programme focuses on developing leadership and mentorship for selected students to prepare young Indonesian leaders.

“We believe that usefulness does not stop at business. The FDC Foundation wants to be a space for collaboration to provide more access to education, healthcare services, and the development of young Indonesian talent,” she said.

Various activities were also held during the FDC Festival, including dental examination services and a 5K marathon run festival covering 5 km, participated in by thousands of attendees from various regions in Indonesia.
