FCB enters Indonesia
JAKARTA (JP): Foote, Cone & Belding (FCB) -- a large advertising agency in the United States -- has entered Indonesia through a technical assistance agreement with Advis, a local advertising agency.
Under the agreement, the local company will be known as FCB Advis.
David Wibowo, FCB Advis' managing director, said yesterday that the strategic cooperation would improve the agency's performance in Indonesia.
"FCB Advis wants to become a top-ten agency in Indonesia within the next 12 months," he said.
Advis, established in 1991, is a rapidly growing advertising agency. Its clients include Beiersdorf, McDonald's, Nutrifood, Standard Chartered Bank, Nabisco and Quaker.
Established in 1873, FCB is the largest advertising agency in the U.S. and the eighth largest in the world, with US$5.6 billion in sales worldwide in 1996.
The agency has 146 offices in 69 countries, with 40 of their offices in 19 Asia-Pacific countries. (08)
