The investigation into alleged corruption and money laundering (TPPU) involving former Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) Febrie Adriansyah now includes law enforcement officials from overseas. The Metro Jaya Regional Police have partnered with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the United States Secret Service to verify evidence in the form of foreign currency seized by investigators during a series of searches related to the case.

Based on observations at the Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation (Ditreskrimsus) building of the Metro Jaya Regional Police on Tuesday, 14 July 2026, the FBI team had been on site since morning. They conducted an examination of the evidence before leaving the building this afternoon.

Investigators from the Police’s Corruption Eradication Corps (Kortastipidkor) are continuing to trace evidence seized in the corruption and money laundering case that has named Febrie Adriansyah, the former Jampidsus at the Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung), as a suspect. In addition to examining 74 kilograms of gold bars, the police have also engaged the FBI, the United States Embassy, the Singapore Embassy, and Bank Indonesia to test the authenticity of the foreign currency seized in the case.

Head of Public Relations for the Metro Jaya Regional Police, Senior Commissioner Budi Hermanto, stated that testing is being carried out on all evidence, including US dollars, Singapore dollars, rupiah, and gold bars. “There is US Dollar currency, Singapore Dollar, rupiah, including gold bars. So testing will be carried out on the Singapore Dollar and US Dollar by the FBI and the US Embassy, as well as the Singapore Embassy and Bank Indonesia,” he said on Monday, 13 July 2026.
