Faza Meonk: Art Toy Exhibition Opens Opportunities for Local Creators
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Si Juki creator Faza Meonk believes the Amazing Toy Show Jakarta 2026 opens greater opportunities for Indonesian art toy creators to introduce their works to the international market while expanding creative industry networks.
“Amazing Toy Show Jakarta provides significant momentum for art toys in Indonesia. Here, our works stand alongside international IPs. The public enthusiasm proves that the local market greatly appreciates the artistic value and stories behind creative products made by our nation’s talents,” Faza Meonk said in an official statement in Jakarta on Saturday.
According to the creator of Si Juki, an international-scale exhibition provides a space for local creators to demonstrate that Indonesian intellectual property (IP)-based works can compete with products from other countries.
He said the opportunity to exhibit alongside international creators also opens possibilities for collaboration, idea exchange, and expanded market access for national creative industry players.
Amazing Toy Show Jakarta 2026, held at Gandaria City in South Jakarta until 21 June, features hundreds of art toy products from local and international creators, vinyl sculpture installations, and various limited-edition collections.
Hong Kong-based creator Jackal Ng, founder of IP Fat Jai, also participated in the exhibition. He described Amazing Toy Show as a gathering place for artists, designers, and collectors from various countries to exchange creative ideas. “Amazing Toy Show is like a World Cup for creators. Art toys from all over the world gather here, and Jakarta is a very special venue,” he said.
Amazing Toy Show founder Jackie Lok said Indonesia was chosen as the third host country after Hong Kong and Beijing because it is considered to have a rapidly growing creative ecosystem.
“Indonesia holds a special position thanks to its many creative talents in pop culture. We want this event to be a platform where art toys are no longer just expensive collectibles, but a medium of cultural expression that can be enjoyed by all,” he said.
Meanwhile, PT Click Prime International Director Gwendolyn Tjandra said the company aims to create a space that connects Indonesian creators with the global creative industry.
“We want to provide a platform for local creators to stand alongside international masters, while also giving Indonesian collectors exclusive access to items not sold elsewhere,” she said.
The organisers view the high visitor enthusiasm from the first day as a positive signal for the growth of the national art toy industry, while strengthening the position of Indonesian creators amid the expanding collectibles and pop culture market in Asia.
