Faulty landing in rice field

JAKARTA (JP): Strong winds handed another blow to the
international Bali-Lombok boogie show in Lombok's Selaparang
airport on Monday as ten parachutists landed off course in a rice
field about one kilometer from the proper landing field.

The owner of the rice field was kind enough to pick them up in
his van and take them to the airport. None reported any injuries.

The parachutists, which missed the mark, were among 94 sky
jumpers who took part in the fourth sortie on Monday, the second
day of the international boogie show, Antara reported.

Bad weather also halted the sunset sky jumping, forcing
hundreds spectators who had been waiting for the show for hours
to leave the scene in disappointment. (arf)
